Deep in the well field, in order to complete the tasks related to the National Science and Technology Major Project "Supporting Technology for Fracturing and Transformation of Non-Homogeneous Terrestrial Shale Gas Reservoirs", the researchers of the Institute's Repeated Fracturing Technology Team for Horizontal Wells climbed up to the tank of the fracturing fluid on their hands and knees under the scorching sun, and meticulously took the samples of the fracturing fluid, measured the pH value, looked at the cross-linking, and measured the sand-carrying performance, so as to ensure that the fracturing fluid meets the requirements of the key horizontal wells for fracturing construction.
Since the beginning of this year, the team has continued to promote the repeated fracturing technology for horizontal wells in the oil extraction plants of Shimosiwan, Wuji, Baota, Xingzichuan and Zichang in Yanchang Oilfield. On-site practice has confirmed that this technology can significantly increase the output of low-producing and inefficient horizontal wells, and restore production of some suspended horizontal wells, turning them into treasures, which is a powerful tool to increase the production of old wells in oilfields. For this reason, the team was awarded the Special Contribution Award in the category of efficiency by the Group Company.
"After ten years of exploration and practice, from the point of view of the field application effect, this technology fills the blank of Yanchang Petroleum's horizontal well repetitive fracturing technology, which not only solves the Group's problem of increasing production and reforming the low-production and low-efficiency horizontal wells, but also is of great significance in promoting the progress of the horizontal well repetitive fracturing technology of the whole country's oilfields."
